Center for Complex Systems Modeling and Simulation(Ce-COSM) is based on collaborative research between the Department of Biosciences, COMSATS Institute of IT, Pakistan and the Department of Computing Science and Mathematics at Cognitive Signal & Image Processing Research Lab (COSIPRA) at the University of Stirling, Scotland.
Research Interests
We are interested in the Modeling and Simulation of Complex Adaptive Systems (cas). These include natural (organic and in-organic) systems and artificial systems. We use a combination of techniques such as Agent-Based Modeling, Formal Specification Modeling, Complex Networks Modeling and Validation Modeling. Application domains include Complex Adaptive Systems such as in Social Sciences, Computer Sciences (Wireless Sensor Networks, Sensor Actuator Networks, Ambient Intelligent/Pervasive Computing Systems, Service Oriented Architecture, Distributed Algorithms, Multiagent systems)and Biological Sciences (Bioinformatics, Computational Biology).
COMSATS Institute of Information Technology uses Simio simulation software under a grant from Simio LLC (www.simio.com).
